TIGER TIGRE is the solo project of drummer/percussionist Vincent Taeger. TIGER TIGRE spearheads this expedition, even if he is a bit carsick. His first LP “GRRR?” is a safari-esque, off kilter album, sprinkled with just a smattering of Japanese sensibilities. You can label it “easy listening on steroids,” because this album is as if a Henri Rousseau painting was soundtracked by Wu-Tang and Steve Reich.

TIGER TIGRE est le projet solo du batteur percussionniste Vincent Taeger, également arrangeur et multi-instrumentiste, que beaucoup ont connu comme batteur du groupe Poni Hoax (ou entendu avec Air, Damon Albarn,Tony Allen, Jeff Mills, Foals, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Mélissa Lavaux, Oxmo Puccino, Oumou Sangaré, Sébastien Tellier...)

Tiger Tigre nous mène en bateau alors qu’il a le mal de mer.
Sa musique safarienne et loufoque aux thèmes japonisants, qu'il qualifie lui-même d'"easy listening vodka-redbull", se situe entre le Wu Tang, Steve Reich et le Douanier Rousseau.
Une bande son luxuriante et groovy arrangée finement, truffée de synthétiseurs analogiques, de pianos, marimbas, de basses au mediator façon Carole Kaye.

Bon voyage rétro-futuriste en première classe avec un garçon dont les provocations incessantes feraient oublier qu'il a en stock des kilomètres d'une soundtrack personnelle, subtile et passionnante.
