Imagine the Tascam 414 (4 track cassette recorder) in Human Koala’s tentacular (like octopus) hands. This vintage machine has been integrated with his otherwise powerful (and modern) modular systems and Elektron gear. The man of many machines mixed it up, recording entire stems, single tracks, and even an entire song on tape, pushing the pre-amps and auxs into the red, producing an amazing outcome. He used it more as a production tool/inspirational device than a classic recorder—but hey, we are not mad at the result! Happy listening!

Quelle chic idée que celle de jeter un 4 pistes Tascam 414 au milieu du home studio tentaculaire de Human Koala. Il a intégré cette vielle machine dans son workflow avec son puissant système modulaire et ses machines Elektron, y imprimant sur la bande des stems ou certaines pistes en poussant dans le rouge les pré-amps et les auxiliaires avec un résultat salement épatant.
Il a utilisé l'engin plus comme un outil de production et d'inspiration que comme un enregistreur-mixeur classique mais nous ne pouvions pas vraiment lui en tenir rigueur vu ce qui en est sorti ! Bonne écoute
